Our Wines
Our passion and expertise lies with vintage wines from the Bordeaux region of France, and we trade only with these wines. Wine making in the Bordeaux region dates back nearly 2000 years to the Roman conquest and has a rich and vibrant history. The Bordeaux region provides perfect conditions for fine wine making, with great soil structure and a temperate climate. Despite competition from new wine regions across the globe, French wine, and Bordeaux in particular, still has a reputation for being the best in the world.
While there are thousands of Châteaux in Bordeaux, each producing their own brand of wine, at Bordeaux UK we specialise only in the fine wines, mostly known as the Grand Crus, produced in the region.

First Growth Wines
Bordeaux first growth Premiere Crus wines tend to come from the Medoc region, with the exception of Château Haut-Brion from Graves.
-
Second Growth Wines
Although Second Growth was the 'second level' ranking originally given to some 14 producers back in 1855 there are many that are comparable in quality to First Growths.
-
St Emilion Wines
The St Emilion appellation dates from 1938 and these rich wines reach maturity quicker than most other red Bordeaux in a region where terroir really is crucial.
-
Pomerol Wines
The wines from this supposedly 'minor' Bordeaux region offer great variety as the terroir of Pomerol, although small, is more diverse than almost any other in Bordeaux.
-
En Primeur Wines
With consistently excellent Bordeaux wines especially, purchasing en primeur even without tasting is a good way to anticipate and take advantage of probable demand.

Bordeaux wine engenders controversy and admiration in equal measure. What is undeniable is that the region consistently produces wines of a quality that is hard to beat.
