Our Wines: Pomerol Wines
Occupying no more than 2,000 acres, Pomerol is the smallest wine producing area in the Bordeaux region. Although you may not find typical huge Bordeaux chateaux as in the Médocc area, the region hosts one of the most famous of all the Pomerol wines.

Petrus
Simply known as Petrus, this estate produces some of the best-known wines from the Bordeaux region and today these sell at astronomical prices, with individual bottles costing thousands of pounds. It was served at the wedding of HRH Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh and was also the preferred wine of the Kennedy clan across the Atlantic. Petrus is also a noticeably small vineyard with only 2,500 cases produced each year.

Le Pin
Unlike many Bordeaux wines, Le Pin does not have a long history and until 1979 the wines produced on the site were simply sold as generic Pomerol. Comparisons are often drawn with Petrus because of the high quality and limited number of cases produced each year. Like Petrus, the quality and scarcity of Le Pin wines have contributed to astronomical prices – making it an absolute luxury.
