Robert Parker Jnr is the world authority on wine, an American who made his name through the legendary Bordeaux vintage of 1982. Having spotted its greatness early while others were dismissing it, he is now highly respected and his reputation largely unchallenged. At the age of 53 Robert Parker was awarded the Grand Prix of the International Academy of Gastronomy, regarded as the food and drink equivalent of the Nobel Prize.
Having pioneered a system of grading wines out of 100 points, Robert Parker has developed a unique way of assessing which wines are the best. In general, you need to get as close as possible to a perfect 100 score; certainly no lower than 90.
